Program/Rotation/Description: The health service will discuss with candidates and allocate these positions internally within the health service, following the allocation by PMCV.
NURSING - JANUARY & JUNE INTAKE
The General Graduate Nurse Program is a supported transition year designed to build confidence, competence, and professional growth through a three week orientation, six dedicated study days, and supernumerary time at the start of each rotation. Graduates receive strong, consistent support from a Graduate Nurse Educator, dedicated Ward Educators, Clinical Support Nurses, and experienced preceptors. A wide variety of rotations through the following clinical areas: Medical (Ward 3) Surgical/Paediatrics (Ward 6) Medical/Surgical (Ward 2) Theatre/Recovery/Day Surgery Sub acute, Rehab, Palliative ICU/CCU/HDU Emergency Mental Health Dialysis & Oncology (6 month rotations).
CRITICAL CARE - JANUARY ONLY INTAKE
The Critical Care Graduate Nurse Program is a supported transition year designed to build confidence, competence, and professional growth through a three week orientation, six dedicated study days, and supernumerary time at the start of each rotation. Graduates receive strong, consistent support from a Graduate Nurse Educator, dedicated Ward Educators, and experienced preceptors. A focused critical care pathway provides graduates with specialised experience across high-acuity environments, strengthening assessment skills, clinical decision making, and confidence in managing deteriorating patients. This stream offers two dedicated rotations that provide concentrated exposure to critical care nursing. Rotations include: • Emergency Department – 6 months • Intensive Care Unit – 6 months
