Please note that dates and times have changed since the original publication. Update your calendar accordingly, as candidates will need to complete several tasks within a short timeframe.

Round 2

Round 2 is reserved for candidates whose application had a Registration Approved status in the 2025 GNMP Match but were not allocated.

  • You must undertake the following steps between 10am Wednesday 24 September until 5:00 PM, Saturday 27 September 2025 to have a valid Round 2 application. (Note the change of date) 

  • You do not need to create a new PMCV account, you can apply to Round 2 with your existing log in details.

  • Do not send applications or documentation direct to the health services, this information should be uploaded to the Candidate portal. 

  • If you have applied to a health service previously and they still have vacancies, you can re-add them as a preference. 

  • The Referee Portal is closed, therefore no referee detail changes, late submissions or new referees are not allowed.

  • Incomplete applications in Round 2 will have their status changed to “Not eligible”.

  • You will be able to update any changes of visa or address and Career Intentions Statement, in the Candidate Details form that will be transferred.

  • Ineligible, pending details, withdrawn or new candidates cannot participate in Round 2. You will need to apply direct to health services after 3 November, PMCV is not involved with this process.

 

Valid Round 2 Application Requirements – Instructions for candidates

1. Log into the Applicant Portal (APS), find the GMNP Round 2 Match and click to apply.  You will not be sent an email to remind you to do this, so mark it in your calendar.
2. Complete the additional questions in the PMCV Candidate Details form
  • Existing candidate’s details have been transferred within the form but there are new questions relating to location candidates prefer to work and whether they are prepared to commute or relocate are at the top of your original form to complete for Round 2 and Late Vacancy (just in case you are unallocated in Round 2). Even if the green tick appears from your original match submission you must complete all the new questions.

 3. Enter New Preferences
  • You may enter up to 8 preferences.

  • You may preference health services you have had previously if they are listed as having vacancies.

  • Preferences must be for streams where you are will accept any allocation from these preferences.

 4. Upload Required Documents

Upload all documents previously required by health services, including:

  • CV or Resume

  • Official academic transcripts with grading key (eQuals accepted). If you don’t have them certified they can still be uploaded, specific health services may request this to be done at a later stage.

  • Clinical appraisals/feedback relevant to your preferences (usually 2, unless you are applying for specialty streams, when you can add more)

  • Cover letters are not required. Do not upload health service-specific cover letters — all your preferences will see the same documents.

  • Candidates who submitted Statutory Declarations in the Match, this assessment has already taken place so not required in Round 2. If you weren’t eligible because you failed to submit a Statutory Declaration, you cannot do so now to be part of Round 2.

 5. Missing video interviews
  • Candidates that did not do their video interview in the Match, can undertake this step between 5:00pm Saturday 27 until 12 noon – midday Monday 29 September. (Note the change of date).

  • Videos cannot be redone, unless technical issues are found.

  • Candidates questions are based on a candidates preferences at that time of doing the video. We understand transferred candidates with completed video may be missing questions relating to their new streams. New questions cannot be added and health services are aware of this situation and will take that into consideration when assessing applications.

 

  • PMCV cannot provide any technical support until 9am on Monday 29 September.

Important
  • You will receive a new candidate ID for Round 2. 

  • Your application will autosave until the Match closes. There is no submit button or email confirmation.
